I've been dreaming about redoing our living room. Usually I play it safe and stick with neutrals. This time though I may just go wild and go for something not beige. What do you think of these items? Will they work together? Too much color? Can I tie them in with the mid century modern look that I love so much?

I'd like a low, round coffee table. Haven't decided on the color. I'd like to find a credenza to use under the flat screen TV. I'm totally lost when it comes to the windows. The sofa would be right under a window on each side which sort of limits our window treatment options.

You could start with one bold piece (like the sofa, which I adore!) and see how it feels and add bit by bit

I think it all looks great together - LOVE the couch especially.

I was thinking the same thing, Wren. Originally, I was hoping to find a Florence Knoll-esque sofa in that color but have had no luck so far. But this one might work as well. It's a good height and depth for shorties like myself.

Are the windows facing the neighbors or the street? Naked windows can look great.

One is facing a neighbor but there is a tall hedge blocking their view in the summer time. The other is facing the backyard.
